Adam Moore was born and raised in Oakland, CA, and began photographing at a very early age. His father enrolled Adam in his first darkroom class at age 11 years - where he printed lots of pictures of his dog! Moore drifted a bit from photography in high school and college, but came back to it in the mid-1990s. It was at time that he began showing work at Photographic Image Gallery in Portland, Oregon, in the late 1990s and has exhibited in group shows around the country since then. Current projects are a series of urban landscapes, shot at night on color positive film; and a series using heavy darkroom manipulation to reinterpret fairly traditional black and white landscape images, shot both at night, and during the day. He is currently part-time faculty at the Academy of Art University, in San Francisco.
