As part of a comprehensive 10-year project, Tim
Baskerville continues to photograph and exhibit
black and white photography of the interiors of
the restored historic streetcars operated by the
S.F. Municipal Railway (MUNI) and the Market
Street Railway, a nonprofit organization
supporting the preservation of rail transportation.
The light, fine detail and elegance found in the
interiors of these proud old cars represents a mode
of transportation all but gone from the hustle-bustle
of our modern age and is captured in the series
Interiors: The F-Market Line.

We are happy to present an exhibition of Tim's
work – partly benefitting the volunteer Market
Street Railway
– at Fort Mason Center, Landmark
Building 'A' in San Francisco, January 2 thru February
16, 2007. We're sure you'll find that Tim's classic
black and white photographs provide a thoughtful, beautiful document of the international fleet of
historic vintage streetcars..
