Know what you mean about the racoons - on Angel Island, a pack of them now come out only during the DAY - around the snack bar. They've taken a left turn on their evolutionary path - to become diurnal! Thank you, Coca Cola and 'Curly-Fries!'
As regards the skunks, I give 'em a wide bearth, and have been known to flash a MagLite on them, also - only not too close! Olwen, our previous Golden Retriever, chased one around the Marin Headlands once - didn't get tagged, tho.'
