Skunks-give 'em space, walk away or shine a light on 'em?

How do you deal with skunks on a night shoot? Do you ignore them-you give them space, they give you space? Do you walk away-"no shot's worth the possibility of getting sprayed." Or do you try to shoo them away, not physically of course (or do you?), but with a little light from your mag light?
