The Dog Days of Summer are upon us now, and we've a number of items to bring to your attention - our illustrative Alumni!

So, let's just dive in, shall we . . .

First of all, the deadline for submissions to the exhibit, A Little Night Music - to be held at Gualala Arts Center October 5-28 (with an opening reception Friday, October 5, from 5 to 7pm) has been extended to AUGUST 6, 2012. We would really like to see some of YOUR work - from this more seasoned group of Alumni. Prospectus for the open-themed exhibit is available on the Gualala Arts Web site - here.

Our 3-nite Full Moon NPy Workshop is again being offered September 28-30, 2012 at locations in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, including Fort Mason, historic Presidio of San Francisco, and
the Marin Headlands.

Another exhibiting opportunity:

Our latest online Exhibit, "The Nocturnes 2012" is now open for submissions. Continuing a tradition of open-themed biennial exibits, these shows have always proved popular! Check out our EXHIBITS page for more details about this and other offerings!

SF Recreation & Parks Department invites the public to Photo Exhibition at the Lodge - in the lobby of McLaren Lodge, in Golden ate Park, featuring photography by members and staff at Harvey Milk Photo Center. McLaren Lodge, now home to SF Recreation and Parks was built in 1896 as the home and office of the park superintendent, John McLaren, who became commissioner in 1887 and lived there until his death in 1943. Tim has two images in the show from the long-running series - Interiors: The F-Market Line (expect to see more of these historic streetcars at another venue later this year!). Details, dates, and directions to follow.

Tim's popular workshop series: "Postcards from San Francisco" are being offered again this month at Harvey Milk Photo Center. Locations and dates for August include:
Cliff House / Sutro Baths, the Ruins - 8/1 (full moon!) - the venerable "holy site" of Bay area NPy locales!
Yerba Buena Gardens - 8/8 (and, yes - we've obtained the permit!)
The Palace of Legion of Honor - 8/15 - amid the mists of the Golden Gate . . .

You probably already know this, but we are planning a return to Death Valley for a 3-night Workshop, November 25-27, 2012. This and other events will make for a very busy 4th Quarter this year!

All images in this NightNews are recent work, done on location, by Tim - Enjoy!

Hope to see you at one - or all - of these events!
